TSEC 2021-22

The winners of the 10th Year Tata Social Enterprise Challenge 2021-22 (Tata SE Challenge), a joint initiative of the Tata group and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC), were announced during the summit held on 2nd July, 2022. NiyoFarmtech Private Limited from Aurangabad (Winner), Zyenika Adaptive Wear Private Limited from Kolkata (1st Runners-up) and Allytriz Private Limited from Tamil Nadu (2nd Runners-up) emerged as the three most promising social ventures, winning prize money of Rs. 5 lakhs, Rs. 3 lakhs and Rs. 2 lakhs, respectively. This year a total of 6600+ applications flooded in, showcasing a substantial increase compared to previous years

A seed fund corpus has been established by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, to which the Tata group has made a contribution of Rs. 25 Lakhs, as part of the annual corpus. Out of the 22 semi-finalists of the Tata SE Challenge, five teams were short-listed to pitch their enterprise to the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge Seed Corpus Investment Committee and other impact investors. Allytriz Private Limited was chosen by the committee to receive this seed funding of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

The winners of the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge for the year 2021-22 are:

Niyo Farm tech Private Limited, the WINNER at the TSEC Grand Finale 2022-2023:

Niyo Farm tech Private Limited, the WINNER of the challenge, won cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs is an enterprise which aims to enhance livelihoods of farmers across the country. They manufacture simple, innovative and low cost agri-equipment for the farmers of India. They have developed a wheel-based sprayer for spraying pesticides on crops which helps farmers to reduce their effort, time and money. They are also developing and manufacturing low cost self-propelled machines for different operations in agriculture.

Zyenika Adaptive Wear Private Limited RUNNER UP at the TSEC Grand Finale 2021-2022:

Zyenika Adaptive Wear Private Limited ,won as the Runners-up with cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs, is solving the problem of dependency in wearing clothes or while going to the washroom for specially-abled and elderly people .

Allytriz Private Limited 2nd Runner Up at the TSEC Grand Finale 2021-2022:

Allytriz Private Limited, won the 2nd Runners-up title with cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh, they are developing a device to help speech and hearing impaired people. In general, speech and hearing impaired people communicate with sign language. However problems arise when they face people who don’t understand sign language. This has been the biggest communication and social barrier for them in our society.

Now they are developing a gadget called Talk Ally that converts the hand gestures of speech and hearing impaired people into voice, thus it enhances real time communication with ordinary people.
