The winners of the 12th Year Tata Social Enterprise Challenge 2024 (Tata SE Challenge), a joint initiative of the Tata group and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC), were announced during the summit held on 15th September, 2024. Backyard Creators Private Limited (Winner), Navmarg Research and Innovation Private Limited (1^st Runner-up), and Padmaseeta Technologies Private Limited (2^nd Runner-up position), emerged as the winning ventures, receiving prize money of Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh, respectively. This year a total of 15000+ applications flooded in, showcasing a substantial increase compared to previous years A seed fund corpus has been established by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, to which the Tata group has made a contribution of Rs. 25 Lakhs, as part of the annual corpus. Out of the 10 semi-finalists of the Tata SE Challenge, eleven pitched their enterprise to the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge Seed Corpus Investment Committee and other impact investors.Alphaion was chosen by the committee to receive this seed funding of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

Backyard Creators Private Limited WINNER at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024:

Navmarg Research and Innovation Private Limited RUNNER UP at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024:

Navmarg is a research-based startup working on transforming water challenges with advanced technology, addressing contamination, and pioneering innovations for societal and environmental well-being. It primarily works in the domain of water treatment and filtration, water monitoring and analysis, and the applications of embedded systems, applied chemistry and geosciences has emerged as the RUNNER UP at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024, winning a sum of Rs. 3 Lakhs in cash prize.

Padmaseeta Technologies Private Limited 2nd Runner Up at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024:
