TSEC 2025
The winners of the 13th Year Tata Social Enterprise Challenge 2025 (Tata SE Challenge), a joint initiative of the Tata group and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC), were announced during the summit held on 14th September, 2025. Fruvetech Private Limited (Winner), The Able Company (1
st Runner-up), and Sahrudaya (2
nd Runner-up position), emerged as the winning ventures, receiving prize money of Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh, respectively. This year a total of 15000+ applications flooded in, showcasing a substantial increase compared to previous years A seed fund corpus has been established by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, to which the Tata group has made a contribution of Rs. 25 Lakhs, as part of the annual corpus. Out of the 10 semi-finalists of the Tata SE Challenge, eleven pitched their enterprise to the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge Seed Corpus Investment Committee and other impact investors.Alphaion was chosen by the committee to receive this seed funding of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

Winner Fruvetech Private Limited WINNER at the TSEC Grand Finale 2025:
Fruvetech has a novel, innovative, and cost-effective technology for fruit and vegetable storage. Their patented, gel-based organic formulation is a true game-changer, addressing the critical global challenge of post-harvest loss that impacts farmers’ livelihoods and food security. By enhancing the shelf-life of produce, keeping nutrients intact, and preventing spoilage, Fruvetech’s technology is helping to double the income of farmers and support a more resilient supply chain. The startup secured the winning title in TSEC 2025. The startup was awarded a winning cash prize of Rs. 5 Lakhs.
The Able Company RUNNER UP at the TSEC Grand Finale 2025:
The Able Company,enhances independence for individuals with hand limitations. Their pioneering product, ‘Hands-On,’ is a testament to how innovative, yet affordable, technology can profoundly improve quality of life.Their solution reduces dependency on caregivers, assists with vocational skills, and offers a crucial, low-cost alternative where conventional aids are often out of reach has emerged as the RUNNER UP at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024, winning a sum of Rs. 3 Lakhs in cash prize.
Sahrudaya 2nd Runner Up at the TSEC Grand Finale 2025:
Sahrudaya’s powerful mission to empower rural women by bringing their traditional, nutrient-rich recipes to a wider market truly stood out. They are a brilliant example of how purpose-driven innovation can create sustainable livelihoods, with over 167 women already empowered through their hands-on training. Their commitment goes beyond a product; it’s about preserving India’s culinary heritage and supporting local agriculture by sourcing 70% of their raw materials from women farmers has emerged as the 2nd Runner Up at the TSEC Grand Finale 2024, winning a sum of Rs. 2 Lakhs in cash prize.
